See Trisha Yearwood Dress Up As Husband Garth Brooks Just in Time for Halloween

by Jessica Fecteau @ PEOPLE.com

Trisha Yearwood might make you do a double-take during the latest episode of her Food Network show.

The host of Trisha’s Southern Kitchen posted a sneak peek of Saturday’s show where she dressed up as her husband, country music star Garth Brooks as part of her Halloween special.

“This is not a #TBT!” Yearwood posted. “This is Saturday’s episode of #TrishasKitchen! Do I make a good Garth?”

To dress the part of her husband of nearly 12 years, Yearwood wore (and perhaps borrowed) a black and white shirt, similar to the one he wore for the cover of his 1992 album The Chase, completing the look with a headset mic, blue jeans, fake facial hair, and, of course, a black cowboy hat.

A handful of website builders provide a limited trial period to allow users to get comfortable with the service before paying for the subscription – these are generally the more complex and sophisticated website builders.

The free accounts generally provide users with a subdomain, for example yourname.wix.com, yourname.websitebuilder.com or yourname.squarespace.com users can then publish their site under this URL. If you publish your site on a free account you will notice that it has many advertising banners for the website builder brand that you chose, this doesn’t make your site look particularly appealing to your customers and visitors. Oliver Stone Says Harvey Weinstein ‘Shouldn’t Be Condemned’: ‘It’s Not Easy What He’s Going Through’

by Alexia Fernandez @ PEOPLE.com

Oliver Stone opted against condemning Harvey Weinstein following multiple allegations of sexual harassment.

The Snowden director, 71, told reporters Friday at the Busan International Film Festival that he believes people are innocent until proven guilty.

“I’m a believer that you wait until this thing gets to trial,” he said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “I believe a man shouldn’t be condemned by a vigilante system.”

Stone continued, “It’s not easy what going through, either. During that period he was a rival. I never did business with him and didn’t really know him.”

“I’ve heard horror stories on everyone in the business,” Stone adds. “So I’m not going to comment on gossip. I’ll wait and see, which is the right thing to do.”

The New York Police Department launched a criminal investigation into Weinstein stemming from an assault allegation 13 years ago, PEOPLE confirmed Thursday.

RELATED VIDEO: Rose McGowan Claims Harvey Weinstein ‘Raped Me’ — and She Told Amazon Studios

The NYPD is looking into claims that the embattled movie mogul sexually assaulted the victim in 2004, a police spokesperson told PEOPLE.

A police official told PEOPLE that the NYPD is also “conducting a review to determine if there are any additional complaints relating to the Harvey Weinstein matter.”

“No filed complaints have been identified as of this time and as always, the NYPD encourages anyone who may have information pertaining to this matter to call the CrimeStoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS,” the spokesperson added.

Officials would not release additional information on the alleged assault or the investigation. However, Lucia Stoller, now Lucia Evans, told the The New Yorker that Weinstein forced her to perform oral sex on him in 2004.

“I tried to get away, but maybe I didn’t try hard enough. I didn’t want to kick him or fight him,” she told the magazine. “He’s a big guy. He overpowered me.”

In response to several allegations made against Weinstein, including Evans’, in the New Yorker piece, a spokesperson for Weinstein said, “Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein.”

News of the investigation comes as the 65-year-old finds himself in the midst of an ongoing sexual harassment and abuse scandal with actresses including Cara Delevingne, Ashley Judd, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Angelina Jolie speaking out against Weinstein’s alleged behavior.

In a bombshell New York Times report last week, eight women accused him of acting inappropriately. The paper also reported that Weinstein reached private settlements with eight women, including actress Rose McGowan.

Google Begins Rolling Out Its Latest Algorithm Update – Google Panda 4.2

by Owner @ Google Maps Marketing – Expert Local SEO Company

Google’s Gary Illyes has confirmed that Google started rolling out Panda update version 4.2 last weekend, affecting 2–3% of queries.

Google algorithm updates always rouse a storm on the internet community as they directly affect website rankings. The latest such refresh is Google Panda 4.2, which began on 18th July, 2015. However, the rollout is extremely slow and that’s the reason people didn’t notice it. According to Google, it may take months till the time we are able to notice any significant impact on the website rankings. It might also not affect all the pages of a website in the short run. Google officials were tight-lipped about why the rollout is so slow.

This refresh is happening just after 10 months from the last update that was rolled out in September last year. As Google algorithm updates keep on happening periodically, it’s considered to be the 30th such update.

It was difficult even for the webmasters to notice … Continue reading

Stephen Wyble explains how this great saint can serve as an inspiration for all.

Understanding The Processions of the Trinity

Understanding The Processions of the Trinity

by elliott @ Catholic Bytes Podcast

To say we cannot comprehend a mystery, is not to say we cannot understand it. It is natural that what an infinite God has revealed to man’s limited mind cannot be comprehended. Yet, we are capable of understanding certain aspects of God’s revelation through created realities. For instance, while the processions of the Trinity remain one such mystery, there are certain insights and analogies Christian theologians offer to help us better understand it.

Georgina Chapman Returning to Project Runway All Stars Following Split from Harvey Weinstein

Georgina Chapman Returning to Project Runway All Stars Following Split from Harvey Weinstein

by Natalie Stone @ PEOPLE.com

Georgina Chapman is returning to the Project Runway All Stars judges table when season 6 premieres.

“Production is already completed on the next season of Project Runway All Stars with Georgina,” a rep for the reality Lifetime series confirmed to PEOPLE Thursday. “We have yet to determine an airdate.”

The 41-year-old Marchesa designer has appeared as a judge on the show — which is co-produced by Bunim-Murray Productions and estranged husband Harvey Weinstein‘s former studio, The Weinstein Company — since it premiered in 2012.

Confirmation of Chapman’s return follows her split from 65 -year-old Weinstein — with whom she shares two children ages 7 and 4 — earlier this week.

Weinstein was fired from his powerhouse film studio on Sunday after eight women — including actress Ashley Judd — spoke out against him in a New York Times report that ran last week, accusing him of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior. The paper also reported that Weinstein reached private settlements with eight women, including actress Rose McGowan. On Tuesday, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and several other women added their own accounts of alleged mistreatment, and more than two dozen women have now come forward.

In the wake of the first allegations by multiple women in a NYT report, Weinstein, who has denied allegations of nonconsensual sex, initially said Chapman was standing behind him.

“She stands 100 percent behind me. Georgina and I have talked about this at length,” Weinstein told the New York Post, adding that Chapman was helping him become “a better human” and to “apologize to people for my bad behavior, to say I’m sorry, and to absolutely mean it.”

Days later, Chapman revealed in a statement to PEOPLE on Tuesday that she had decided to leave Weinstein in the wake of the allegations: “My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.”

On Thursday, PEOPLE reported that Weinstein checked into a luxury resort in Arizona after jetting out of Los Angeles on Wednesday. The source said the movie mogul was staying at the five-star hotel (which boasts a spa and golf course) because “he doesn’t want to go a place where he can’t use his cell phone.”

“His team set him up at a secure place to get him the help he needs — he knows and wants help,” said another source close to the situation.

How to Leverage Social Media for SEO: Link Building

by Owner @ Google Maps Marketing – Expert Local SEO Company

Exploring the myriad of ways social networks can be utilized in your link-building efforts.

I recently asked a room of experienced marketers how they thought social media marketing could assist their SEO efforts. The answers were more or less what I had expected to hear:

Social media helps foster relationships, which in turn helps build links and improves rankings. Social media aids in public relations, as a distribution channel and a means of generating easy online buzz. Social sharing provides a form of social proof, giving greater credibility and trustworthiness to your content. Brands can rank for their social networking profiles and receive greater visibility within the SERP.

While these are all true, let’s focus on how link building on social platforms can help unite a brand’s social media marketing and SEO efforts.

At the most basic level, social networking sites provide an easy way to share and distribute your message. If the content is seen by the … Continue reading

Blake Lively Reveals She Was Sexually Harassed By a Makeup Artist Who Filmed Her While She Slept

Blake Lively Reveals She Was Sexually Harassed By a Makeup Artist Who Filmed Her While She Slept

by Alexia Fernandez @ PEOPLE.com

Blake Lively is opening up about her own experiences with sexual harassment after several female celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie came forward following allegations of sexual misconduct against Harvey Weinstein.

Lively, 30, revealed her “terrifying” experience with sexual harassment allegedly at the hands of a makeup artist.

“He was saying things inappropriately, insisting on putting my lipstick on with his finger,” she told the Los Angeles Times on Thursday.

“I was sleeping one night on location and I woke up and he was filming me,” she continued, “I was clothed, but it was a very voyeuristic, terrifying thing to do.”

Lively, 30, said she told producers about the issue but that nothing happened after she spoke out.

Instead, the mother of two claims she was approached about a different incident, this time about her dog defecating behind a toilet in her dressing room.

The actress said producers told her, “‘This is very serious and we can’t have this happen again.'”

She took her sexual harassment complaints to a lawyer, which opened up an investigation that caused the makeup artist to be removed from the project, she told the LA Times.

Despite his removal, Lively said it doesn’t prevent him from working in the industry.

“Our unit production manager wrote him a letter of recommendation because nobody wanted there to be bad blood,” Lively said.

On Tuesday, Lively had spoken out oh the Weinstein allegations but did not divulge her own experience with harassment.

“That was never my experience with Harvey in any way whatsoever, and I think that if people heard these stories… I do believe in humanity enough to think that this wouldn’t have just continued,” she told The Hollywood Reporter . “I never heard any stories like this — I never heard anything specific — but it’s devastating to hear.”

She continued, “It’s important that women are furious right now. It’s important that there is an uprising. It’s important that we don’t stand for this and that we don’t focus on one or two or three or four stories, it’s important that we focus on humanity in general and say, ‘That is unacceptable.'”

On Tuesday, The New Yorker revealed — among 13 different women’s accounts of alleged sexual harassment, assault or rape — that the mogul allegedly forcibly performed oral sex on Italian actress Asia Argento two decades ago.

Actresses Mira Sorvino and Rosanna Arquette also claimed that after rejecting Weinstein’s unwanted advances, they were removed from or kept from being hired for projects.

Also on Tuesday, Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie added their own accounts of alleged mistreatment.

In a New York Times report last week, eight women — including actress Ashley Judd — spoke out against Weinstein, accusing him of inappropriate behavior.

In response to the lengthy allegations made against him in The New Yorker piece, a spokesperson for Weinstein said, “Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein.”

How Google Search Works in 2006

by Owner @ Google Maps Marketing – Expert Local SEO Company

Infographic shows how search works, from the perspective of a content creator, starting with their content & following it through the indexing & ranking process.

As users have shifted to mobile devices, the limited screen size of the devices have pushed search engines to squeeze out & displace publishers with their own self-hosted information in an effort to offset the poor usability offered by tiny devices, while ensuring the search habit does not decline.

The philosophy of modern search has thus moved away from starting with information and connecting it to an audience, to starting with the user and customizing the result page to them.

“The biggest three challenges for us still will be mobile, mobile, mobile”.

Why your current SEO approach isn’t enough.

by Owner @ Google Maps Marketing – Expert Local SEO Company

Customers are more empowered than ever before.

Technology and connectivity have completely changed our lives, especially in terms of how and where we spend our money.

This has also led to a power-shift, where people have almost total control of what they see and experience online. This is in turn “causing havoc” for businesses and forcing them to evolve quickly.

It also doesn’t help that the online experience is full of noise; many sites are just a wall of ads, messages and assorted brand clutter. Users now have multimedia and multi-device habits and therefore have multiple means of escape.

All of this has led to search evolving into ‘discovery marketing’. In fact marketers are now shifting money away from paid search into content marketing and other means of being discovered organically.

Over the last number of years one of the main areas of contention between the two has been driving referral traffic.

However, it’s not simply about top market share, it’s a contest between social referrals and search engine referrals.

But according to data from Parse.ly, which provides web analytics for digital publishers that include the likes of Mashable, Telegraph Media Group, and Business Insider, Facebook recently surpassed Google as the top referrer for major publishers.

Parse.ly CTO Andrew Montalenti told SocialTimes that there are several factors contributing to this shift.

Perhaps the biggest change took place about a year ago, when Facebook began taking a more active interest in developing relationships with publishers to curate and promote content, he said:

I believe the reason Facebook did this is because they realized that a lot of the interesting conversations happening around the web were happening around major … Continue reading

“Our home is now filled with blow up toys from Target in the pool as opposed to margaritas,” Berkus said.

Real Estate Wars' Hoda Hajirnia Reveals How She Overcame Eight Years of Eating Disorders: 'I Was Down to 87 lbs.'

Real Estate Wars' Hoda Hajirnia Reveals How She Overcame Eight Years of Eating Disorders: 'I Was Down to 87 lbs.'

by Patrick Gomez @ PEOPLE.com

Hoda Hajirnia felt helpless.

“I was in high school when my mom got diagnosed with a life-threatening illness,” the Real Estate Wars star, 30, tells PEOPLE. “My older brother was off at college and my little sister was a newborn, so I felt responsible for helping take care of the family — but I felt useless.”

Hajirnia has decided to keep the specifics of her mother’s illness private but the Bravo reality show personality says watching her mother suffer led her to find a way to control at least one aspect of her life: what she ate.

“I turned to anorexia,” the Southern California native says of developing the eating disorder during her senior year of high school.

“I tried to hide it because I didn’t want anyone feeling sorry for me, but everyone knew,” explains Hajirnia. “Everyone nominated me for homecoming queen thinking it would make me feel beautiful. It was sweet, but it didn’t help.”

“I was 5’5″ and I was down to 87 lbs.,” she says. “I was so fragile.”

RELATED VIDEO: Naya Rivera Reveals She Battled Anorexia as a Teen, Had an Abortion While on ‘Glee’

But as she graduated high school, Hajirnia says she realized how much she was “hurting” her parents.

“I decided to give eating a shot, but I felt so guilty for eating and that’s when I discovered bulimia,” she says. “I was making my parents happy because they knew I was eating, but in reality I was binging and purging, which is one of the most disgusting things a person can do to themselves.”

After four years at Cal State Fullerton, Hajirnia graduated at the top of her class with a degree in journalism with a focus on communications. She started working in the newsroom at the ABC affiliate in Los Angeles — but all the while continuing to binge and purge.

“I tried to avoid going to family events so I wouldn’t have to see them while I was at my worst,” she says. “There were times I was throwing up 10 times in one day. I would just lock myself in my room and do that all day.”

RELATED VIDEO: YouTube Star ‘Furious Pete’ Talks About Overcoming Cancer Twice and His Battle With Anorexia

Her family urged her to seek professional help, but Hajirnia says she wasn’t ready to get healthy.

“Again, I was just doing it to please my parents. I wasn’t ready to get better, so I was lying to all the doctors I was seeing. I was making things up to make them think I was okay,” she says.

But her bulimia progressed and by 2010, “it got to a point where the food was putting me to sleep, so I was just binging and not purging. I got really disgusted by myself,” she says. “I didn’t recognize the person I’d become and I was really worried about my teeth and my well being, so I decided I was ready to get help.”

“I got a whole new set of doctors and I confessed to my parents I had been lying the entire time and told them I was finally ready and I had their support,” she explains. “I got a whole new set of doctors and, slowly but surely, I got to a happier place.”

RELATED VIDEO: YouTube Star Lindsey Stirling On Overcoming Anorexia: ‘I Knew I Could Be Happy Again’

That happier place included a career change (from journalism to real estate) and an engagement in 2012 to her boyfriend of seven years.

Hajirnia had only told her immediate family, fiancé and trainer about her eating disorders until recently when she decided she could help others by sharing her story.

“Any time I’d talk about it I could just feel like a cloud was over me for the next day. I’d become depressed,” she says of talking about her anorexia and bulimia in the past. “No one ever wants to talk about the worst years of their lives, but I told myself I was going to do it because if I can just help one person out there I feel like I’ve done my job.”

She’s had to get veneers because the bulimia had wrecked her teeth but now Hajirnia considers herself to be “healthy” and is looking forward to her wedding, which is tentatively slated for late 2018 — but she admits the work on herself is not done.

“I still have issues and I struggle with it every single day,” she says. “But I finally feel like I’m where I’m supposed to be in life. I feel like I’m the person I was supposed to become.”

Police Find 7-Year-Old Ohio Boy’s Body ‘Hidden’ in Home Where Three Adults Were Found Dead the Night Before

by Karen Mizoguchi @ PEOPLE.com

A 7-year-old boy’s body was found “hidden” inside a Lawrence County, Ohio, home a day after three adults were shot dead inside the same home, according to authorities.

Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless confirmed in a news conference on Thursday afternoon that Devin Holston was the youngest victim of a quadruple shooting murder.

Initially it was thought that the 7-year-old with the “bubbly personality and enthusiasm for school” was missing after three adults were found dead and another injured in a trailer home on Wednesday night.

Sadly police discovered the little boy’s body the following day after researching the home.

The fifth living victim was stabbed in the neck and head but was able to escape and seek help at a neighbor’s home. The victim was airlifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.

“The names of the victims are not being released at this time pending positive identification and notification of next of kin,” the Lawrence County Sheriff’s office announced on Thursday. “We are in the very early stages of this investigation and cannot compromise this investigation by divulging more information at this time.”

A missing endangered child alert was issued for Devin by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office but was later called off on early Thursday morning after investigators found Devin’s body was “hidden” in the home, according to Lawless, who also told the Ironton Tribune that “those involved in the incident were all related in some way.”

Warrants have been issued for Aaron Lawson, 23, on three counts of murder and one count of aggravated murder.

Lawson was spotted driving a Blue Chevrolet truck at approximately 12:30 a.m. when a pursuit ensued. Officials said Lawson crashed the vehicle into a ditch and fled on foot into the woods.

“I searched in our computer system and have no record of him,” Lawless said of Lawson not having a criminal background. “We’ve been talking to family and friends, and everyone is dumbfounded. … We’re going to get him, we won’t quit until we do.”

Devin’s neighbor, Kyle Evans, told local news outlet WSAZ that Lawson would babysit Devin and his brother from time to time.

“Devin was a really sweet boy,” said Evans, who would often cut Devin’s hair at his barbershop. “In the summer we would take him to Bible school with us to our church in town. We’re down here at this barn all the time, me and my kids, and my oldest girl would always play with Devin.”

Adding, “You know, he’s just a baby. You can’t even imagine. You don’t even want to imagine.”

Devin, a second-grader at Rock Creek Elementary, was also remembered as having a “bubbly personality and enthusiasm for school,” according to his teachers who spoke to The Record-Courier.

“Devin was widely liked by all the staff and students,” said Wes Hairston, superintendent of Rock Creek Local Schools. “It’s a tragedy that someone this young would perish by someone in a senseless act of hate or violence.”

WATCH: Deadly Calif. Wildfire Doesn't Stop This U.S. Postal Service Worker From Delivering Mail

WATCH: Deadly Calif. Wildfire Doesn't Stop This U.S. Postal Service Worker From Delivering Mail

by Karen Mizoguchi @ PEOPLE.com

Douglas Thron was filming the devastation of the Northern California fires with his drone when he unexpectedly spotted a U.S. Postal Service worker delivering mail through the burnt-out ruins in a clean, white truck.

On Wednesday, one day after capturing the footage, the aerial videographer and photographer shared the harrowing video of the mail carrier driving around the Coffey Park neighborhood in Santa Rosa, an area that was almost completely destroyed in an out-of-control fire.

At least 31 people have been killed in the wildfires that have been burning across Northern California since Sunday.

“I was filming the aftermath of what had happened from the fires the following morning … and I see someone waving at the drone from the truck,” Thron tells PEOPLE about discovering the USPS worker, who wore a face mask.

The Oakland-based videographer, who has filmed wildfires since the 1990s, did not approach the USPS worker and has yet to meet the mystery deliverer.

“I don’t know him, it would be nice to meet him, I would love to,” he says. “It was heartbreaking to see it. This postman obviously knows those people intimately having delivered their mail for who knows how long. A lot of those people were his friends.”

As for why he thinks the USPS worker continued to deliver the neighborhood’s mail, Thron tells PEOPLE: “I heard by request of the homeowners. I would imagine they didn’t want their paychecks and whatever they wanted to get lost somewhere.”

“My whole purpose of filming was trying to show the devastation because this wasn’t a simple, typical fire. This was one that literally looks like a war zone that bombed random sections of miles of miles of the town,” he says.

“It looks like nothing I’ve ever seen before,” he adds.

Thron explains he wanted to gather footage and show people the devastation from the wildfires, the deadliest to strike the state in more than 80 years.

“Hopefully will motivate people to help out, volunteer, donate and help all these people who are now homeless,” he says.

Gov. Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency in several counties as the fires, which began on Sunday, swept through Northern California and urged Donald Trump to declare an official state of disaster to support local relief efforts.

“In less than 24 hours, more than 18 fires began burning in at least seven counties and have collectively burned more than 80,000 acres,” Brown wrote in a statement.

The fires continued well into Tuesday and Brown said that the flames grew so rapidly that residents had little time to leave their homes and flee to temporary shelters. He added that officials expect the number of deaths as a result of the fire to grow.

In the first chapter of The Magnolia Storyreleased as a sneak peek today, the Fixer Upper dream team spills the details of how they met — and it wasn’t exactly love at first sight.

Joanna agreed to go out on a date with Chip after meeting him and his roommate “Hot John” — who she actually tried to approach minutes earlier, but was too shy — in the waiting room of her dad’s auto shop. She had second thoughts, however, after Chip arrived an hour and a half late to pick her up.

The chapter continues to describe the timeline of their relationship, which didn’t actually start until months after they first went out, when Chip (in typical guy fashion) finally called Joanna back.

“I’d made a bet with Hot John to see who could hold out the longest before calling our dates back,” Chip writes “I really wanted that fifty dollars from John! That’s the only reason I didn’t call.”

After they went out a second time, the rest was history.

Heidi Klum Speaks Out Against Harvey Weinstein as He's Stripped of Executive Producer Credit on Project Runway

by Karen Mizoguchi @ PEOPLE.com

Heidi Klum is supporting the “brave women” who have spoken out against Harvey Weinstein, who is embroiled in an ongoing sexual harassment scandal.

“I wish I could say that the horrible stories I read about Harvey Weinstein are a rare occurrence in our society, but that is simply not the case. We would be naive to think that this behavior only happens in Hollywood,” Klum, 44, tells PEOPLE exclusively.

“This is one example of the more pervasive problem of the mistreatment of women around the world. I think it would be hard to find a woman – myself included – who have not had an experience where they have felt intimidated or threatened by a man using his power, position or his physical stature,” the Project Runway host and judge says.

“I truly admire these brave women who are coming forward to share their stories because change cannot come unless there is a dialogue and people are held accountable,” she concludes.

Klum’s statements come after Weinstein, 65, was stripped of his executive producer credit on the Lifetime reality show competition.

Since Project Runway‘s premiere in 2012, the movie mogul’s former studio, The Weinstein Company, has been co-producing the show along with Bunim-Murray Productions.

Weinstein’s wife, Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman has often appeared on the show as a guest judge since 2012.

On Sunday, eight women — including actress Ashley Judd — spoke out against Weinstein in a New York Times report, accusing him of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior. The paper also reported that Weinstein reached private settlements with eight women, including actress Rose McGowan.

On Tuesday, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and several other women added their own accounts of alleged mistreatment, and more than two dozen women have now come forward.

Also on Tuesday, Chapman revealed in a statement to PEOPLE that she had decided to leave Weinstein in the wake of the allegations: “My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.”

Following the NYT report about the allegations, Weinstein said in a statement that he was working with therapists and planned to “deal with this issue head-on.”

“Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein,” a spokesperson for the movie mogul has said.

True Freedom: Living in accord with human nature

True Freedom: Living in accord with human nature

by elliott @ Catholic Bytes Podcast

True freedom, contrary to its current ‘absolute’ sense, is lived to its fullest when in accord with human nature. Jesus Christ taught us how to be truly free, because he was truly human; living in perfect accord with that nature. What the contemporary and Christian understanding of freedom have in common is a “yes” to something other; while one leads to slavery, the other leads to great acts of love and attainment of true freedom. The perfect exemplar of this is Christ on the Cross.
